
Jolanda Clifton: Chief Brand & Sales
Jolanda has knowledge and drive with a “Let’s do It” attitude. She will never ask anyone to do something she is not prepared to do herself.
Jolanda has not only been part of the medical device industry for almost 20 years with wealth of knowledge in various fields including Cardiology, Radiology, Endoscopic Surgery, Oncology, Spine, Vascular, but also with capital equipment sales too.
She started in the industry as a novice Cardiology representative with Cordis, Johnson & Johnson 20 years ago. She has held several positions after as Manager-Cardiology, Sales & Marketing Manager Cardiology, National Sales Manager with a staff complement of 34 representatives and an area manager reporting to her, she has moved into Sales & Marketing Manager, Marketing & Education Manager, Business Development Manager and has joined VirtuMED as Chief of Brand recently.
She studied at the Tshwane University of Technology, Environmental Health, Medical Microbiology & Bacteriology.
Jolanda did a bridging course through the Smart Group, training medical representatives to enhance her skills and knowledge of the industry, before completion of the course she successful got employed by Cordis completing her Smart Group course with honors. She has had the privilege to work for local south African companies and multi-national company, both as distributor and manufacturing companies, giving her the broader understanding of local and international needs and analysis with multitude of business acumen. Jolanda was part of a 3-person team opening office for an multi nation in SA and Africa and has given her the opportunity to engage with distributors in multiple countries on an international level.
